George Buetell, 5000 16th Street, spoke of improvements to the business <br />community and to evacuation routes. <br />Jerry Swanson, 3001 Ocean Drive, set forth the urgency of moving ahead at <br />today's prices. <br />Karen Hall, President of the Realtor's Association, presented her report (copy on <br />file) supporting the project. <br />Bill Penny, 635 36th Avenue, voiced his support. <br />Spencer Simmons, Simmons Construction, proposed having his firm do the <br />roadwork for less money than the State. <br />George Christopher, 945 Painted Bunting Lane, favored the project but was <br />concerned about who would pay for any overruns, and about the 50% of the interest which <br />is not recoverable. <br />Bruce Barkett, Esquire, revealed that the projects that he represents support <br />paying the fees. <br />Peter Robinson, 315 Greytwig Road, encouraged Board action. <br />Nancy Offutt, President of the Builder's Association, voiced support and had <br />several questions for the Board. <br />John Kurtz, 205 9th Court, applauded the Board and encouraged them to proceed <br />with the project. <br />March 13, 2007 18 <br />
