ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Neuberger, by a 4-1 vote, Chairman <br />Ginn opposed, the Board approved the Right-of-Way <br />Acquisition in the amount of $35,902.40 and <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the contract, as <br />recommended in the memorandum dated March 30, <br />2004. <br /> <br />DOCUMENT IS ON FILE IN THE <br />OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br /> <br />7.Y. R“B”SAP&Z <br />OBERT OB WIFT PPOINTED TO LANNING ONING <br />C(P&Z)RLN.G,J. <br />OMMISSION EPLACING ELAND IBBS R <br />Chairman Ginn has the highest regard for Bob Swift, but she was concerned that as a <br />developer there may be a conflict of interest by appointing him to this commission. <br />Commissioner Macht acknowledged that Bob was his appointment and that he is a <br />developer but, he is also a past member of the Land Acquisition Advisory Committee, which is his <br />primary reason for selecting Bob. Bob’s development is limited to the Indian River Club, which is <br />a showpiece for our County. He is levelheaded and sees both sides. He probably leans heavier on <br />controls rather than quality development and for this Commissioner Macht felt he is a prime <br />candidate. <br />Chairman Ginn said she will approve this item and if there is any problem then <br />things can be rectified. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Neuberger, the Board unanimously <br />approved the appointment of Robert Swift, to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) through <br />APRIL 6, 2004 <br />18 <br /> <br /> <br />
