13.F. NECESSITY OF TAKE RESOLUTION FOR PARCEL OF PROPERTY LOCATED <br />AT 3675 66TH AVENUE, MATHEW AND HILDA HARBOURT, PARCEL 122 <br />Attorney DeBraal said this parcel sat at the corner of 37th Street and 66th Avenue, <br />and explained the importance of acquiring the right-of-way. He recalled that the Harbourts had <br />received an unconditional offer of $314,870; that this is their homestead (none of the structures <br />lie within the area of take); and that there was citrus on the southern part of the property. He did <br />not know if the Harbourts wanted to maintain a lease on the citrus for harvesting, but said it <br />would be brought back to the Board at a later time if they did. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED <br />by Vice Chairman Flescher, the Board by a 4-0 vote <br />(Commissioner Wheeler absent) approved Resolution <br />2009-069, declaring a reasonable necessity to acquire <br />certain real property for the purposes of improving and <br />reconstructing 66th Avenue, including side street, <br />intersection, sidewalk and water retention pond <br />improvements; authorizing the County Attorney to acquire <br />the attached properties by the institution of proceedings in <br />eminent domain, and providing an effective date. <br />(Parcel 122 — Mathew an Hilda Harbourt). <br />14.
