HE CONTINUED THAT THE BOARD HAS RECEIVED <br />CERTAIN ASSURANCES FROM GDC, AND ALTHOUGH THE BOARD HAS NO CONTROL <br />OVER GDC, THAT CORPORATION IS AND WILL BE MAKING ADDITIONAL REQUESTS <br />OF THIS BOARD, <br />PLANNING DIRECTOR REVER NOTED THAT HIS DEPARTMENT LOOKED <br />ONLY AT THE DEVELOPMENT PROPOSED ON THAT PARTICULAR SITE AND FELT <br />THE TRAFFIC CONTROLS WERE MORE THAN ADEQUATE FOR THE SITE, BUT HE <br />AGREED THAT WHEN WE LOOK AT THE WHOLE DEVELOPMENT, THERE ARE OTHER <br />RAMIFICATIONS. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS STATED THAT HE REALLY FELT THE ZONING <br />COMMISSION NEEDED TO CONSIDER ONLY THAT PARTICULAR PIECE OF LAND BY <br />ITSELF BUT THIS BOARD, IN CONSIDERING THE ENTRANCEWAY AND THE <br />PROMOTION THEY HAVE DISCUSSED, CAN CONSIDER OTHER MATTERS. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS REITERATED THAT HE WISHED TO HAVE THIS <br />SET UP SO WE WILL NOT EVENTUALLY HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM. <br />MR. SWENSON CONFIRMED THAT THEY ARE WILLING TO ADDRESS THE <br />TRAFFIC PROBLEM AND WILL WORK CLOSELY WITH THE COUNTY. HE NOTED THAT <br />THEY WILL BE COMING BEFORE THE BOARD REPEATEDLY WITH PLANS FOR THE <br />DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR UNPLATTED PARCELS, AND THOUGH HE CANNOT SAY THAT <br />THEY WILL IMMEDIATELY PUT IN THAT ACCESS ROAD, THEY WILL ADDRESS THE <br />PROBLEM. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, COMMISSIONER LYONS VOTED IN OPPOSITION, THE BOARD ADOPTED <br />ORDINANCE 79-35 REZONING TO C-1 AS REQUESTED BY GENERAL DEVELOPMENT <br />CORPORATION. <br />_I <br />
