An assessment will be made <br />of the regional impact of the proposed diversion from the Phase <br />1 withdrawal and from subsequent phased withdrawals. The final <br />report will be in a form that will serve as a supporting docu- <br />ment to a water -use application for the system. <br />Task 5 -- Project Meetings, Conferences, and Related Work <br />After the completion of testing, Geraghty & Miller, Inc., will <br />have to work closely with Iridian River County and the Joint <br />Venture in obtaining a water -use permit. It is anticipated <br />that correspondence and meetings will be necessary with public <br />agencies such as the St. Johns River Water Management District <br />and the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation before <br />the water -use permit can be obtained and conceptual approval of <br />the system can be granted. Therefore, Task 5 has been included <br />to allow for discussions and correspondence necessary to com- <br />plete the permit process. <br />PROJECT PERSONNEL AND TIMING <br />Geraghty & Miller's tasks in this program will be directed by <br />a Senior Scientist of the firm who will act as project manager. <br />He will be responsible for Geraghty & Miller's input into the <br />preparation of specifications for this testing program. He <br />will direct the firm's staff hydrogeologists in the inventory <br />of wells, permittees, and legal users. Under his direction, <br />staff hydrogeologists will inspect the well drilling, gather <br />data during the testing program, assist the contractor in the <br />performance of pumping tests, and perform other field tasks <br />as required. The project manager will be responsible for the <br />preparation of all reports and correspondence related to the <br />project. Likewise, he will attend all -meetings with Indian <br />River County and the Joint Venture, and if required, he will <br />also meet with public agencies on the County's behalf. Mr. <br />Tom Tessier, who has been involved in the preliminary investi- <br />gation of the ground -water resources of the taxing district, <br />will be the project manager. Mr. Vincent P. Amy will act as <br />project advisor to provide overall guidance and to assure that <br />the program is carried out in keeping with the past procedures <br />of Indian River County and the policies of Geraghty & Miller, <br />Inc. He will also be available to attend meetings and present <br />testimony at public hearings on behalf of the County, if <br />requested. <br />
