CHAIRMAN SIEBERT REPORTED THAT THERE IS A 201 STUDY MEETING <br />SCHEDULED AT 1:00 O'CLOCK P.M. TOMORROW IN TALLAHASSEE. <br />ADMINISTRATOR .JENNINGS STATED THAT HE WILL CALL TO SEE IF <br />THIS MEETING PERTAINS TO INDIAN RIVER COUNTY OR IF IT IS AN OVERALL <br />201 STUDY, AND WILL REPORT BACK TO THE BOARD LATER IN THE MEETING. <br />ASSISTANT ADMINISTRATOR NELSON DISCUSSED THE HOLIDAY <br />SCHEDULE FOR 1980. HE REPORTED THAT THE COUNTY HAD 9 HOLIDAYS LAST <br />YEAR AND ARE NOW ASKING FOR 10 HOLIDAYS, AS THEY WANT TO GET MORE IN <br />LINE WITH THE CITY OF VERO BEACH AND PIPER. MR. NELSON STATED THAT <br />IN ORDER TO HAVE A HOLIDAY BETWEEN NEW YEARS DAY AND MEMORIAL DAY, <br />WASHINGTON'S BIRTHDAY WAS PROPOSED AS THE ADDITIONAL HOLIDAY FOR <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY. <br />- DISCUSSION_FOLLOWED ALONG THOSE LINES, AND IT WAS MENTIONED <br />THAT THIS SCHEDULE HAD NOT BEEN CIRCULATED TO THE OTHER DEPARTMENTS <br />AS YET. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER Loy, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />WODTKE, THAT THE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE CONTAINING 9 HOLIDAYS BE SUBMITTED <br />TO THE OTHER ELECTED OFFICIALS, AND UPON THEIR CONCURRENCE, ADOPTED <br />AS A SCHEDULE FOR 1980. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS FELT THAT THE COUNTY SHOULD BE CONSISTENT <br />WITH THE PRACTICE IN THE AREA. HE THEN ASKED IF PERSONNEL DIRECTOR <br />DONLON COULD DO A SURVEY OF THE PRACTICE IN FT. PIERCE, ST. LUCIE <br />COUNTY, AND BREVARD COUNTY. <br />PERSONNEL DIRECTOR DONLON AFFIRMED THAT HE WOULD OBTAIN <br />THIS INFORMATION. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION. IT WAS VOTED ON AND <br />CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. <br />SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS RICHEY APPROACHED THE BOARD <br />REGARDING THE FINAL CHANGE OF PRECINCTS. SHE CONTINUED THAT TWO OF <br />THE PRECINCTS ARE BEING CHANGED AND THEY ARE: PRECINCT 5., WHICH <br />ORIGINALLY VOTED AT THE CARPENTERS HALL, HAS NOW BEEN DIVIDED AT <br />STATE ROAD 60 AND THE PEOPLE SOUTH OF THAT WILL VOTE AT THE LUTHERAN <br />CHURCH AT 1850 6TH AVENUE.
