Associated con- <br />tractor's charges for drilling and testing of two production <br />wells are estimated at $90,000 to $170,000. <br />The estimated cost for hydrogeologic consulting services in <br />Scenario III of $47,800 shall be considered to be the <br />contract amount and shall not be exceeded without prior <br />written authorization from Indian River County. It is under- <br />stood that Geraghty & Miller, Inc. will not be obligated to <br />continue the work if to do so would exceed the contract <br />amount unless and until it has received written notice from <br />Indian River County indicating that the contract amount has <br />been increased. Actual Geraghty & Miller, Inc. charges for <br />professional services are based upon hourly rates for work <br />performed plus associated expenses. Monthly invoices will be <br />submitted to Indian River County in accordance with the attached <br />fee schedule. <br />This agreement may be changed or terminated by Indian River <br />County in whole or in part whenever Indian River County <br />determines that such change or termination is in its best <br />interests. Indian River County may at any time make changes <br />within the general scope of this agreement by written order. <br />Termination of this agreement shall be effected by delivery <br />to Geraghty & Miller, Inc. of a written termination notice <br />specifying the extent to which the work is terminated. The <br />effective date of the termination shall be 14 days after the <br />date of the termination notice. Geraghty & Miller, Inc. <br />shall stop all work on that date to the extent specified, <br />terminate all orders and subcontracts pertaining to the <br />terminated work, transfer to Indian River County as directed any <br />and all work in progress, completed work and other material <br />related to that terminated world and continue and complete all <br />parts of the work that have not been terminated. Geraghty & <br />Miller, Inc. shall receive payment for services performed on <br />terminated work through the effective date of termination by <br />submitting an invoice in accordance with the fee schedule. <br />Geraghty & Miller, Inc. will continue to receive payment for all <br />portions of the work not terminated by submitted monthly invoices <br />as previously described. <br />Attached: Fee Schedule <br />J <br />
