County Attorney William Collins presented the request to adopt the proposed Ordinance, <br />which would authorize the tax collector to begin selling tax receipts (formerly known as <br />Occupational Licenses), commencing on July 1, rather than on August 1, of each year. This <br />would amend Section 207.05 of the Code to be consistent with the Florida Legislature's 2007 <br />amendment. <br />The Chairman opened the Public Hearing. Seeing none, the Chairman closed the Public <br />Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED <br />by Vice Chairman Flescher, the Board unanimously <br />adopted Ordinance 2009-009, amending Indian River <br />County Code Section 207.05 "Term of Business Tax <br />Receipt; Due Dates; and Penalties" to change the <br />beginning sale date of business tax receipts from August <br />1st to July 1 st of each year; providing for codification; <br />providing for severability; and providing effective date. <br />10.B.
