PUBLIC DISCUSSION – MARK BRACKETT – REQUEST TO <br />TH <br />SPEAK REGARDING SIDEWALK FOR 16 STREET <br />ADJACENT TO OLD SAVANNAH <br />Mark Brackett <br /> wanted to write a check for the cost to the County to construct the <br />sidewalk adjacent to Old Savannah subdivision. He did not see enough land provided for the route <br />and believed the task to acquire the land would be mountainous. He also was concerned with the <br />liability. Staff admitted that they could put in the sidewalk improvements at a later date, but they <br />were concerned with the funds sitting in their account and felt the sidewalk improvements would <br />take time away from other important projects scheduled. <br />Chairman Lowther agreed with staff and he did not want to place an additional <br />burden upon them. He told Mr. Brackett he was responsible for the improvements. <br /> <br />9.B.5. PUBLIC DISCUSSION – RENNE HAMBLIN – REQUEST TO <br />SPEAK REGARDING DRAINAGE IN VERO HIGHLANDS <br />th <br />Renne Hamblin <br />, 608 20 Place SW, Vero Highlands, has resided for 17 years at <br />the same address and stated new construction has caused stormwater to drain onto her property and <br />her neighbor’s. She displayed a photograph of her neighbor’s flooded backyard. She said the <br />developer was not required to put in a sewer system and this problem has existed for two years. <br />July 12, 2005 23 <br /> <br />
