BARKETT FELT SUCH AN ENTERPRISE WOULD BE DETRIMENTAL <br />TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND POINTED OUT THAT THERE IS A SCHOOL BUS STOP <br />NEAR THIS PARCEL, HE FELT CHANGING ONE CORNER OF THE R-lE To A <br />WOULD BE SPOT ZONING, AND HE OPPOSED IT. <br />REED KNIGHT, .JR., PROPERTY OWNER IN THE AREA, DID NOT <br />FEEL THE MAP IS QUITE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE AREA AND NOTED THAT THE <br />R-lE BEING DISCUSSED IS THE TIP OF A COMPLETE SUBDIVISION. HE FELT <br />THAT THE AGRICULTURAL AREA IS BEING PRESSURED INTO R-1. MR. KNIGHT <br />CONTINUED THAT HE IS FAMILIAR WITH GREEN BELT LAWS AND NOTED THAT <br />THIS PROPERTY WAS PURCHASED FOR THREE TIMES MORE THAN ITS GREEN BELT <br />ASSESSMENT AND THEREBY HAS LOST THAT EXEMPTION EVEN IF MR. MACKENZIE <br />DOES PUT IN THE CITRUS TREES. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED HIM THAT THIS IS NO LONGER TRUE. <br />MR. KNIGHT DID NOT BELIEVE THAT ANYONE CAN MAKE MONEY ON <br />CITRUS BY PAYING $6,000 AN ACRE FOR THE LAND.
