nd <br />Frank Wegel <br />, 8060 142 Street, Sebastian, as vice president of the Friends of St. <br />Sebastian River, was asked to talk on its behalf of the concern for compatibility with the river. <br />Initially they wanted no multi-family housing and no businesses on the river and he read a <br />statement on behalf of the Friends. As a resident, he understood that a principal of the developer <br />initially stated they just wanted 3 single-family houses and he had thought there was an agreement <br />then. <br /> <br />The Chairman asked if anyone else wished to be heard with regard to this matter. <br />There were none and the Chairman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Commissioner Macht asked for a final explanation, Director Keating pointed out <br />that on the plat, the 1.9 acres was divided into 3 lots. <br />Mr. Barkett specified that Lots 2 and 3 will be single-family and OCR on Lot 1 is <br />generally office use. <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Macht, SECONDED by <br />Vice Chairman Neuberger, the Board unanimously granted <br />the applicants’ appeal of the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission’s decision and adopted Ordinance No. <br />2004-022 amending the Zoning Ordinance and the <br />accompanying zoning map for approximately 1.98 acres <br />located at the southwest corner of US#1 and the St. <br />Sebastian River, from CL, limited commercial district, to <br />OCR, office, commercial, residential district; and providing <br />codification, severability, and effective date.
