HE REPORTED THERE WILL BE NO <br />INCREASE IN THE GIFFORD AREA. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS HAD SEVERAL COMMENTS CONCERNING THE <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE - IN SECTION 2, IT MENTIONS THE SEWER HOOKUP IS <br />MANDATORY WITHIN 200' OF ANY EXISTING LINE THAT IS IN AND PRESENTLY, <br />THE ONLY PLACE THAT WOULD BE AFFECTED WOULD BE THE 6TH AVENUE LINE. <br />HE NOTED A QUESTION FOR CONSIDERATION - WOULD THE BOARD WANT <br />CONNECTION TO THE 6TH AVENUE LINE MANDATORY? THE ATTORNEY NEXT <br />SUGGESTED THAT IN SECTION 3 REGARDING RESOLUTION 79-611 THE VERO <br />MALL AGREEMENT SHOULD BE ADDED AS THE COUNTY IS PROVIDING SEWER IN <br />THAT AREA WITHOUT WATER. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ABOUT SECTION 2 REGARDING STRUCTURES <br />THAT ARE WITHIN 200' OF A GRAVITY SYSTEM AND WHETHER OR NOT IT WOULD <br />BE FEASIBLE TO TIE IN TO A FORCE MAIN. <br />MR. LINER REPORTED THAT THERE IS NO DEVELOPMENT THAT IS <br />INSTALLED WITHOUT PROVIDING FOR INDIVIDUAL CONNECTIONS TO BE MADE <br />AND HE FELT THAT IF THERE IS AN EXISTING GRAVITY SYSTEM, THEY SHOULD <br />BE REQUIRED TO TIE IN. HE NOTED THAT THE 6TH AVENUE SEWER IS A <br />FORCE MAIN AND NOBODY CAN CONNECT UNLESS THERE IS A PUMPING STATION. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS REFERRED TO SECTION 10 AND SUGGESTED <br />ADDING A PROVISION CONCERNING WATER THAT IS USED BY HUMANS, AND <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS FELT THAT WAS A GOOD POINT AND WOULD ADD IT TO THE <br />PROPOSED ORDINANCE. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS REFERRED TO SECTION 121 WHICH PROVIDED <br />THAT 1/2 ACRE LOTS WOULD BE PREVENTED FROM HAVING BOTH A WELL AND <br />A SEPTIC TANK. HE NOTED THAT MANY OF THE PLATTED SUBDIVISIONS, <br />PARTICULARLY THE MOST RECENT ONES, WERE PLATTED WITH THE CONCEPT IN <br />MIND THAT THERE WOULD BE A WELL AND A SEPTIC TANK,AND RESTRICTING IT <br />TO ONE ACRE WILL CHANGE THAT PATTERN CONSIDERABLY.
