CAIRNS ADDED THAT <br />ORIGINALLY THEY REQUESTED R-2 ZONING BUT IT TURNED OUT THAT THE R -2B <br />WAS A DESIGNATION THAT WOULD ACCOMPLISH JUST WHAT THEY HAD PLANNED; <br />THEREFORE, THEIR REQUEST IS FOR R-213 ZONING. <br />COMMISSIONER Loy INQUIRED ABOUT THE OCEANFRONTAGE. <br />MR. CAIRNS ADVISED THERE WAS 380' ON THE OCEAN AND 516' ON <br />THE CONSTRUCTION SETBACK LINE. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ASKED ABOUT WATER AND SEWER IN THE AREA. <br />MR. CAIRNS COMMENTED THAT THEY PLANNED TO DO ON-SITE WATER <br />AND SEWER; THE WATER PLANT WOULD BE REVERSE OSMOSIS, WITH A STANDARD <br />SEWER PLANT. <br />PLANNER REVER REPORTED THAT THERE WAS SOME DISCUSSION ABOUT <br />THE PROBLEM OF PUTTING IN A MAJOR PLANT: THEY WOULD BE WILLING TO <br />NEGOTIATE SUPPLYING WATER TO THE SURROUNDING PROPERTY OWNERS IF <br />THEY WERE AFFECTING THE WATER TABLE, <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT REFERRED TO THE THREE ALTERNATIVES FOR <br />WATER MENTIONED IN THE PLANNING & ZONING MINUTES WHICH WERE: A 15" <br />LINE FROM THE MAINLAND TO AlA, A 12" LINE SOUTH TO JOHN'S ISLAND, AND <br />ON-SITE WATER. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE REPORTED THERE IS NO FRANCHISE FOR ANY <br />ONE TO SERVICE WATER - NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO SELL WATER IN THAT <br />AREA. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED ALONG THOSE LINES. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF THERE WAS ANY ONE PRESENT WHO WISHED <br />TO SPEAK. <br />J. G. ROSE, 271 SEA OAK DRIVE, INDIAN RIVER SHORES, APPROACHED <br />THE BOARD STATING HE WAS A REPRESENTATIVE OF LOST TREE VILLAGE, OWNERS <br />OF JOHN'S ISLAND. HE ASKED PLANNER REVER WHAT THE PROPOSED DENSITY <br />WAS AND HOW MANY ACRES IT CONTAINED. <br />PLANNER REVER RESPONDED THE PROPOSED DENSITY WAS 8 UNITS <br />PER ACRE, AND THERE WERE 35 ACRES. HE ADDED THAT IT WAS CONSISTENT <br />WITH THE COMPREHENSIVE LAND USE PLAN. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />WODTKE, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />� � r <br />
