<br />Legislature to look into this, with the Public Service Commission, <br />and see what can or could be done. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding franchise and possible changes, and City of Vero Beach getting its <br />rates in line with FP&L. <br /> <br />Administrator Baird estimated that about $8.6 million from unincorporated residents in the <br />County goes into the City’s General Fund to reduce taxes. As far as ad-valorem taxes Vero Beach only <br />generates about $5 ½ million from its own residents. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wheeler AMENDED HIS MOTION, <br />SECONDED by Chairman Neuberger, to give the legal staff and <br />County Administrator direction to work together and come back <br />with options to help solve this problem. <br /> <br />The Chairman CALLED THE QUESTION and the Motion, as <br />amended, carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The Chairman called a break at 12:55 p.m., and reconvened the meeting at 1:05 pm. <br /> <br />9.C.
