County Attorney Will Collins announced that this is the first of two public hearings to <br />consider the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2003-04. <br />County Administrator James Chandler gave a brief overview of the proposed Budget and <br />advised that staff will be glad to answer any questions. <br />5. ADOPTION OF PROCEDURE TO CONDUCT HEARINGS ON AD <br />VALOREM TAXING DISTRICTS <br />The following procedures were proposed by staff: <br />5.A. Open hearing <br />5.13. Announce Millage and Percentage of Increase in Millage Over Rolled Back Rate <br />Necessary to Fund the Budget, if any, and Specific Purposes for Which Ad Valorem Tax <br />Revenues Are Being Increased <br />5.C. Receive Comments from the Public <br />5.D. Consider any Proposed Amendments to Tentative Budget and Calculate Revised <br />Tentative Millage Rate (if revised) <br />5.E. Adopt Tentative Millage Rate <br />5.17. Adopt Tentative Budget <br />5.G. Announce %, if any, by which Recomputed Tentative Millage Rate Exceeds the Rolled <br />Back Rate <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Ginn, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Adams, the Board unanimously adopted Procedures <br />A through G as presented by staff. <br />6.
