(3.8377) to be levied upon all real and personal taxable <br />property in Indian River County, Florida, for fiscal year <br />2003-2004 for the General Fund. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Neuberger, SECONDED BY <br />Commissioner Lowther, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution No. 2003-106 amending the County Budget <br />Officer=s estimates of receipts other than taxes and of balances <br />to be brought forward for Fiscal Year 2003-2004 and adopting <br />a final budget for the General Fund (in the amount of <br />$65,621,614). <br />5.A.2. MUNICIPAL SER VICE TAXING UNIT (M. S. T. U.) <br />Administrator Chandler announced the proposed budget for the Municipal Services <br />Taxing Unit in the amount of $23,671,591 which contains an increase of about 7.8%. <br />Seventy-five percent of that increase is related to the transfers to the General Fund and for <br />both Transportation and Law Enforcement expenses. The proposed millage is 1.6804, <br />.2146 or 14.6% above the rollback rate of 1.465 8, which is 5.1% above the current rate. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing on the M.S.T.U. budget and millage rate <br />and asked if anyone wished to be heard on either matter.
