s r � <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT BELIEVED THE MILLAGE WILL BE REDUCED ON <br />THE FINAL VALUE BUT WILL STILL REFLECT THE SAME NUMBER OF DOLLARS, <br />PROPERTY APPRAISER LAW EXPLAINED THAT TAXABLE VALUE WILL <br />BE LESS THAN THE FINAL ROLL, YOUR MILLAGE WILL BE ON THE LESSER <br />TAXABLE VALUE, BUT YOU SET YOUR TAX DOLLARS YOU WANT AT YOUR OWN <br />DISCRETION AND YOU WILL BE ASSURED OF THOSE SAME TAX DOLLARS ON THE <br />FINAL ROLL, HE NOTED THAT HE HAS DISCUSSED THESE PROCEEDINGS WITH <br />THE DOR AND THEY DO NOT TAKE EXCEPTION TO THEM. <br />INTERGOVERNMENTAL COORDINATOR THOMAS ASKED IF THE INTERIM <br />BUDGET REFLECTS NEW CONSTRUCTION, AND MR. LAW STATED THAT IT WILL BE <br />LAST YEAR'S VALUES AND THEY DID NOT INCLUDE LAST YEAR S CONSTRUCTION. <br />THIS YEAR IT WILL INCLUDE LAST YEARS CONSTRUCTION. NEW CONSTRUCTION <br />WILL BE WHATEVER IT WAS LAST YEAR. LAST YEARS FIGURES EXCLUDED NEW <br />CONSTRUCTION, THIS YEAR WE WILL PICK THAT UP AS YOUR TAX BASE. <br />DISCUSSION CONTINUED ON THE PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW TO PARTICI- <br />PATE IN THE SUIT WITH THE PROPERTY APPRAISER, AND ATTORNEY GAYLORD <br />WOOD INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE HAD THE SUIT WITH HIM. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY AGREED WITH THE PROPERTY APPRAISER'S <br />RECOMMENDATION TO GO INTO AN INTERIM ROLL. <br />MOTION WAS MADE BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER DEESON, TO JOIN WITH THE PROPERTY APPRAISER IN ENTERING INTO <br />A SUIT AGAINST THE DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE TO REQUEST THE INTERIM ROLL <br />AND AUTHORIZE OUR ATTORNEY TO PROCEED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PROPERTY <br />APPRAISER. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE NOTED THAT WE WILL NOTIFY ALL TAXING <br />BODIES IN THE COUNTY OF THE DEADLINES WE HAVE SO WE DONT GET TO THE <br />POINT THAT ON AUGUST 20TH WE ARE NOT ABLE TO CERTIFY THE MILLAGES. <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT REQUESTED THAT THE ATTORNEY CONTACT THE <br />COUNTY FINANCE OFFICER AND PREPARE A LETTER ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD <br />SETTING OUT DATES AND ASKING THAT MILLAGES BE BACK NO LATER THAN <br />AUGUST 20TH, BUT PREFERABLY QUICKER, <br />m <br />JUL 3 01990 BOOK 44 '`FAtL-131 .. <br />
