<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />2.MSTU(M.S.T.U).–RN. <br />UNICIPAL ERVICE AXING NIT ESOLUTION OS <br />2004-107()2004-108() <br /> MILLAGE RATE AND BUDGET <br /> <br />Chairman Ginn announced the proposed millage rate is 1.5530, equal to the rollback rate, <br />and the proposed budget is $25,033,652. <br />County Administrator Baird explained the major portion of the increase was due to <br />transfers into the general fund in the amount of $867,943. The major portion of that ($709,505) <br />goes to the Sheriff’s law enforcement budget. The three new fulltime positions and one part-time <br />position account for an increase of $124,103. The COLA and step increases for employees are <br />$152,736. <br /> <br />Chairman Ginn opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to be heard in this <br />matter. There were none and she closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Adams, SECONDED by <br />Vice Chairman Neuberger, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution No. 2004-107 establishing the tax millage rate <br />(1.5330) to be levied upon all real and personal taxable <br />property in Indian River County, Florida, for fiscal year <br />2004-2005 for the Indian River County general purpose <br />Municipal Service Taxing Unit. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Vice Chairman Neuberger, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lowther, the Board, unanimously <br />adopted Resolution No. 2004-108 amending the County <br />Budget Officer’s estimates of receipts other than taxes and <br />of balances to be brought forward for fiscal year 2004-2005 <br />September 22, 2004 <br />4 <br /> <br />
