AUG 14 1980 <br />aoaK 44 Pace 344 <br />IN CONTINGENCY AND CASH CARRY FORWARD. HE CONTINUED THAT HE DOES <br />BELIEVE WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A SOUTH COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT, AND IF <br />S0, IT WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A 2.45 MILL LEVY. HE, THEREFORE, BELIEVED <br />WE WERE RIGHT THAT THIS FIRE DISTRICT IS TO THE NORTH COUNTY'S BENEFIT. <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS BELIEVED THE CREATION OF THE SOUTH COUNTY <br />FIRE DISTRICT MAY BE POSSIBLE BECAUSE THE NORTH COUNTY SUPPLIED THE <br />MOMENTUM. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER WODTKE, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Loy, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED THE PROPOSED BUDGET FOR THE <br />NORTH INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT OF $53,360; AGREED THE TAX <br />WILL BE I/2 MILL; AND AGREED THAT ANY EXCESS FUNDS DERIVED WILL BE <br />PUT IN A CONTINGENCY FUND FOR THE DISTRICT. <br />CHAIRMAN DEESON EXPRESSED THE BOARDS THANKS TO GROVER <br />FLETCHER AND RICHARD WEAVER WHO SERVED ON THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />AND REQUESTED THAT THEY INFORM THE ADVISORY GROUP THAT WE APPRE- <br />CIATE THEIR EFFORTS. <br />THERE BEING NO FURTHER BUSINESS, ON MOTION MADE, SECONDED <br />AND CARRIED, THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ACTING AS THE <br />DISTRICT BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE NORTH INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT ADJOURNED AT 4:28 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />ATTEST: <br />CLERK <br />CHAIRMAN <br />
