Director King announced that the City of Sebastian, as of August 1, 2007, had received <br />the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) 911 System and he noted that a few small issues were <br />still being worked out. <br />Director King updated the Board regarding the Animal Control Division, saying that <br />during the past calendar year, there was a 20% increase in the number of reported animal control <br />complaints, resulting in an increase of 31% more animals from the previous year. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Davis, the Board unanimously accepted the <br />Progress Report as presented and recommended in the <br />memorandum of August 26, 2007. <br />14.A.3. FIRE RESCUE TRAINING TOWER <br />Director of Emergency Services John King specified that funding from the approved <br />budget had been allocated to replace the fire rescue training tower and explained why staff <br />recommended relocating the replacement training tower to behind the new Emergency <br />Operations Center, on 43rd Avenue. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Flescher, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Davis, the Board unanimously authorized the <br />Emergency Services District Director (County Administrator) to <br />sign the Donadio & Associates Work Order and any required <br />Change Orders and piggyback agreements with Fire Facilities, <br />Inc., J.P. Construction, and Barth Construction, Inc., as set forth, <br />September 4, 2007 <br />E.S.D. <br />2 <br />
