PUBLIC HEARING – CHILDREN’S DISCOVERY CENTER – <br />SPECIAL EXCEPTION USE APPROVAL TO EXPAND AN <br />EXISTING DAYCARE <br />PROOF OF PUBLICATION OF ADVERTISEMENT FOR HEARING IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />CLERK TO THE BOARD <br /> <br />Planning Director Stan Boling used the projector to illustrate the location of the <br />site, explained that Planning and Zoning voted 7-0 to approve this expansion, and he went over <br />the changes being made to the site plan due to the expansion. <br /> <br />The Vice Chairman opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Erin Bowles <br />, MBV Engineering, explained he is available for any questions the <br />Board may have regarding this matter and stated that he believed Chairman Lowther would to <br />support the expansion. <br /> <br />Bill Mills <br />, 2816 Laurel Drive, stated that his wife runs the daycare center and they <br />have met with the representatives of the church across the street to come to an agreement on <br />where the best place for the turn lane would be to relieve some congestion in that area. <br /> <br />th <br />Pastor Joe Brooks <br />, 20 Avenue, spoke in support of the expansion. <br /> <br />The Vice Chairman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wheeler, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Davis, the Board unanimously approved <br />(by a 4-0 vote Chairman Lowther absent) \[1\] Found that it <br />is empowered under the provisions of Chapter 971 to <br />September 6, 2005 21 <br /> <br />
