12.L PUBLIC WORKS <br />12.L1. RIGHT-OF-WAYACOUISITION, SCHACHTAND COMPANY, 4THSTREET, <br />VERO BEACH, FLORIDA <br />Assistant Public Works Director Chris Mora updated the Board on this request to <br />purchase a 2.8 acre parcel of land for a stormwater retention pond for the 66th Avenue Road <br />Improvements Project. He asked the Board to approve staff's recommendation to approve the <br />purchase. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED <br />by Vice Chairman Flescher, the Board unanimously <br />approved Alternative 1, the $125,627.00 purchase, and <br />authorized the Chairman to execute the Agreement to <br />Purchase and Sell Real Estate with Schacht & Company, <br />Inc., as recommended in the memorandum of August 26, <br />2009. <br />AGREEMENT ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK TO THE BOARD <br />12.L2. WORK ORDER #6, COASTAL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATIONINC., SECTOR 3 <br />ARCHEOLOGICAL SURVEYSERVICES <br />Coastal Resource Manager Jonathan C. Gorham updated the Board on this request for a <br />cultural resources survey to be done, as part of the Joint Coastal permitting process for the Sector <br />3 Beach Restoration Project. He asked the Board to approve staff's recommendation <br />to conduct the archaeological investigation and provide a report to the State Historic Preservation <br />Officer (SHPO) at the Florida Division of Historical Resources in Tallahassee. <br />September 8, 2009 <br />
