COUNTY PARK LOCATED IN GROVENOR ESTATES <br />THE BOARD DISCUSSED THE PROBLEM OF NOISE AND VANDALISM <br />AT THE COUNTY PARK IN GROVENOR ESTATES, AS EXPLAINED IN THE FOLLOWING <br />MEMORANDUMS: <br />August 26, 1080 <br />TO: NEIL NELSON, Assistant County Administrator <br />FROM: BILL COOK, mark Supervisor <br />SUBJECT: Noise, vandalism and rowdyism around the County owned <br />lake in Grovenor Estates. <br />GENERAL: The lake and park occupy five acres -at the inter- <br />section of 10th Street SW and 33rd Avenue. <br />Private homes are located on the south shore within <br />75 feet of the water's edge and one house is only 65 <br />feet from the water. The septic tank is located between <br />the house and water. <br />The east shore also has homes located 125 feet from <br />the lake. <br />The north shore has a sandy beach and small parking <br />area created by the park property and the 10th Street <br />"right of way". <br />The west shore has a grass area created by park land <br />and the 33rd Avenue "right of way". Homes are built <br />on the west side of 33rd Avenue. <br />The road and bridge department currently "picks up" <br />the trash weekly and cuts the grass on occasion. <br />.The neighborhood homes are well maintained and <br />occupied by upper middle income permanent residents. <br />PROBLEM: People from otztsi de th e is maedi ate area use the west <br />e ��,i� ����� �.v v_. .r ._T..:i <br />the north shore for beer parties etc., and swim in�the �lake. <br />Their behavior is reported to be rowdy, loud and profane. <br />This is reported to occur during evening, night, early <br />morning, as well as during daylight hours. <br />Another group is reported to use the lake for the <br />operation of small remote controlled, loud gas powered <br />boats. <br />SEP 101990 <br />:. <br />my ' 44 PACE522: <br />
