Clerical and typing services including -material costs, salaries, <br />and personnel benefits. <br />3. Services, supplies and equipment for characterization, classifica- <br />tion, correlation, and interpretation of soils. <br />4. Transportation of employees to sites throughout the area of the <br />survey. <br />5. Map compilation and finishing for the published soil survey by <br />,the Soil Conservation Service, <br />D. To reimburse the Agencies for a portion of the cost of complete <br />soil survey in an amount not to exceeda <br />cost is estimated to be one-third the actual field cost of the survey <br />and is arrived at as follows: <br />Total acres in county - 3279000 <br />Acres mapped to date - 27,000 <br />Acres remaining to map - 300,000 <br />Total field cost of survey = 300,000 acres x $.75 per acre = $225,000 <br />The field work is estimated to be completed in 4 years from the date <br />mapping begins, cost -to the county of $18,750. $15,000 payable to the <br />Soil Conservation Service and $3,750 to the Florida Agricultural <br />Experiment Stations each year. Work to begin in fiscal year 1981 <br />(October 1980 to September 1981), contingent on availability of <br />manpower. <br />Costs are estimated on a per acre basis to arrive at approximate costs <br />to complete the survey and to determine the amount to be funded by the <br />agencies. Actual costs are variable. The county will be billed for <br />actual work performed in the amounts not to exceed the figures shown <br />in ''D" above. <br />Payments to the Agencies will be made on receipt of bill from the <br />separate agencies covering work done quarterly at the close of the <br />months of March, June, September, and December. <br />E. That the signature of the authorized representative of the Cooperator <br />on this agreement is official notice for the work to begin. <br />2. THE DISTRICT AGREES: <br />A. To serve as overall coordinator of the soil survey among the agencies. <br />B. To assist and coordinate a training program to inform the public, local <br />agencies, and others about the use of soil information. <br />C. To provide leadership in an information program to inform the public <br />on the conduct of the survey. <br />
