TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, 1980 <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, ACTING AS THE DISTRICT BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE <br />NORTH INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT MET AT THE CITY HALL COUNCIL <br />CHAMBERS, 1053 20TH PLACE, VERO BEACH, FLORIDA, ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 7, <br />1980, AT 5:21 O'CLOCK P.M. PRESENT WERE WILLARD W. SIEBERT, JR., <br />VICE CHAIRMAN; ALMA LEE Loy, WILLIAM C. WODTKE, SJR.; AND PATRICK B. <br />LYONS. R. DON DEESON, CHAIRMAN, WAS ABSENT FOR BUSINESS REASONS. <br />ALSO PRESENT WERE GEORGE G. COLLINS, .JR., ATTORNEY TO THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS; JEFFREY BARTON, FINANCE OFFICER; AND VIRGINIA <br />HARGREAVES, DEPUTY CLERK. <br />VICE CHAIRMAN SIEBERT PRESIDED IN THE CHAIRMAN'S ABSENCE <br />AND ANNOUNCED THAT THERE WAS A QUORUM PRESENT. HE NOTED THAT THE <br />PROPOSED MILLAGE WILL BE LEVIED TO THOSE LIVING IN THE AREA NORTH <br />OF HOBART ROAD, EAST OF I-95, NORTH TO THE COUNTY LINE, EAST TO THE <br />INDIAN RIVER, ALSO INCLUDING THE DEVELOPED AREA AROUND FELLSMERE, <br />WHICH IS WEST OF I-95. HE STATED THAT THE PROPOSED MILLAGE FOR <br />1980-81 IS 0.5000 OR ONE-HALF MILL. <br />FINANCE OFFICER BARTON INFORMED THOSE PRESENT THAT THIS IS <br />A NEWLY CREATED DISTRICT AND, THEREFORE, THE PERCENTAGE INCREASE IN <br />MILLAGE OVER THE ROLLED BACK RATE IS 100%. <br />VICE CHAIRMAN SIEBERT ASKED FOR ANY COMMENTS FROM THE <br />PUBLIC.
