CONSIDERATION OF EAR (EVALUATION AND APPRAISAL <br />REPORT) BASED AMENDMENTS TO THE COUNTY'S <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />Community Development Director Bob Keating announced that today's Workshop was <br />for the Board to consider the draft Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) based Comprehensive <br />Plan amendments prior to the transmittal Public Hearing on May 11, 2010. He acknowledged <br />that there has been a lot of input by the public, as well as the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />(P&Z) and other committees, and that there would be further opportunity for public comments <br />today. Using a PowerPoint presentation (on file), he thereafter highlighted some of the <br />proposed revisions to the sixteen (16) individual elements and sub -elements of the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />INTRODUCTORY ELEMENT - CHAPTER 1 <br />Director Keating explained that the Introductory Element contains data and information, <br />and no objectives or policies. He conveyed that, based on the Bureau of Economic and Business <br />Research's projections, the County's population will increase by slightly over 50,000 people <br />over the next 20 years. <br />The Chairman invited public comment.
