MR. ROBBINS STATED THAT HE CANNOT <br />RECOMMEND THIS PROCESS AT THIS TIME, BUT FEELS THE LONG RANGE PROJEC- <br />TION IS FOR THIS METHOD. <br />UTILITY DIRECTOR LINER CONTINUED TO REVIEW MR. ROBBINS' MEMO, <br />AND THE CHAIRMAN REQUESTED THAT WE GO TO THE ATTORNEY'S ITEMS AT THIS <br />TIME AND DISCUSS THE CLOSING ON THE PROPERTY FOR THE GIFFORD SEWAGE <br />PLANT, WHICH WOULD RELATE TO ITEM #2 OF THE MEMO. <br />CLOSING ON GIFFORD SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT PROPERTY <br />ATTORNEY COLLINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE SELLER, <br />WELLFORD HARDEE, HAS REQUESTED THAT PAYMENT BE MADE IN TWO PARTS - <br />HALF THIS YEAR AND HALF AFTER DECEMBER 31sT. THE TENTATIVE AMOUNT <br />OF $23,044.36 WILL BE DUE AT CLOSING, AND A COMPARABLE SUM WILL BE <br />DUE AFTER THE FIRST OF NEXT YEAR. THE ATTORNEY SAW NO OBJECTION <br />TO THE COUNTY PAYING FOR THE PROPERTY IN THIS MANNER. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />Loy, THE THREE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD PRESENT UNANIMOUSLY AUTHORIZED <br />THE ATTORNEY TO CLOSE ON THE PROPERTY TO BE PURCHASED FROM THE HARDEES <br />FOR THE GIFFORD SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT SITE AND TO PAY THE APPROXIMATE <br />AMOUNT OF $23,044.36 AT CLOSING; THE FINAL PAYMENT IN THE APPROXIMATE <br />AMOUNT OF $22, 287.38 TO BE MADE AFTER THE FIRST OF NEXT YEAR UPON <br />REQUEST OF SELLER. <br />COMMISSIONER LYONS WISHED IT CONFIRMED THAT THIS SITE IS <br />SATISFACTORY TO THE DER, AND ENGINEER ROBBINS STATED THAT NO QUESTION <br />HAS BEEN RAISED BY THE DER. <br />ENGINEER JOHN ROBBINS INFORMED THE BOARD THAT HE DISCUSSED <br />WITH THE DER THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENDING OUR COMPLETION SCHEDULE FOR <br />THE GIFFORD SEWER PLANT BY TEN WEEKS AND GOT A FAVORABLE RESPONSE. <br />HE REPORTED THAT AFTER MEETING WITH FMHA OFFICIALS TOMORROW, HE IN- <br />TENDS TO CALL MR. KOSLOFF OF THE DER AND INDICATE THE SCHEDULE WE ARE <br />ON AND OFFICIALLY REQUEST ON BEHALF OF THE COUNTY A TEN WEEK EXTEN- <br />SION OF THE ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION PERMIT, WHICH CALLED FOR THE PLANT <br />TO BE INSTALLED BY DECEMBER 30, 1980. <br />
