NOV 51980 �ODR 45 PACE 120 <br />PLANNING DEPARTMENT; IT RAISES AN ISSUE OF CONFLICT BETWEEN OUR <br />NORMAL DUTIES AND OF REPRESENTING THE VARIANCE BOARD, UNDER THE <br />CIRCUMSTANCES, THE ATTORNEY THEN REQUESTED AN ITEM BE ADDED REGARDING <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A SPECIAL COUNSEL TO REPRESENT THE VARIANCE <br />BOARD, AND THE EXPENSE SHOULD NOT EXCEED $400. HE CONTINUED THAT <br />THEY WERE PREPARED TO CLOSE ON THE GIFFORD SEWER PLANT AND MUST NOW <br />SEEK AUTHORIZATION TO OBTAIN THE NECESSARY FUNDS TO CLOSE ON THAT <br />PROPERTY; AND REQUESTED THAT THAT ITEM BE ADDED TODAY. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE REQUESTED THE OUT -OF -COUNTY TRAVEL <br />REQUEST FOR PLANNING DIRECTOR REVER, #9 IN THE INFORMATION MATERIAL, <br />SHOULD BE DISCUSSED TODAY, AS HIS MEETING WILL BE ON NOVEMBER 17TH. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY REQUESTED ADDING ITEMS REGARDING THE <br />TRACKING STATION; APPLYING FOR PERMITS FOR THE DUNE CROSSOVERS; AND <br />ACCEPTANCE OF BONDS FOR THE NEWLY ELECTED COMMISSIONERS. <br />COMMISSIONER WODTKE REQUESTED ADDING A REPORT OF THE INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY BEACH PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION COMMITTEE. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER LYONS, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />LOY, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED ADDING THE ABOVE ITEMS TO THE <br />AGENDA. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY ADDITIONS OR CORRECTIONS <br />TO THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF OCTOBER 8, 1980. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY REQUESTED THAT ON PAGE 28, LINE 3, THE <br />NAME EDWARD D. LEWIS BE CORRECTED TO EDGAR L. SCHLITT. <br />COMMISSIONER LOY SUGGESTED THAT ON PAGE 49, THE LAST <br />PARAGRAPH SHOULD BE AMENDED TO READ: "MR. KONTOULAS REPLIED THAT THE <br />COMPUTER REQUIREMENTS WERE KNOWN TO THE ARCHITECTS AND HAD NOT BEEN <br />INCORPORATED." <br />CHAIRMAN SIEBERT REQUESTED THAT ON PAGE 49, LINE 10, THE <br />WORD "DROPPED" BE CHANGED TO "DROP." <br />THOSE CORRECTIONS HAVING BEEN MADE, ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER <br />LOY, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER DEESON, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED <br />2 <br />
