THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS THEREUPON RECESSED AT <br />11:16 O'CLOCK A.M. SO THAT THE DISTRICT BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS <br />OF THE NORTH INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT MIGHT CONVENE. MINUTES <br />OF THAT MEETING WILL BE PREPARED SEPARATELY. <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS THEREUPON RECONVENED AT. <br />11:30 O'CLOCK A.M. AND IMMEDIATELY RECESSED SO THAT THE DISTRICT BOARD <br />OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTH INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT <br />MIGHT CONVENE. MINUTES OF THE MEETING WILL BE PREPARED SEPARATELY. <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS THEREUPON RECONVENED AT <br />11:41 O'CLOCK A.M. WITH THE SAME MEMBERS PRESENT. <br />PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL OF COLONIAL HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION <br />(CONTINUED FROM 12-17-80 MEETING) <br />PLANNING DIRECTOR REVER GAVE A REVIEW, NOTING THAT THE <br />SUBJECT SUBDIVISION IS LOCATED SOUTH OF 8TH STREET BETWEEN OLD DIXIE <br />AND THE EXISTING COLONIAL TERRACE SUBDIVISION. BECAUSE OF THE SENSI- <br />TIVITY OF INTERFERENCE WITH COLONIAL TERRACE, IT WAS REQUESTED THAT <br />A FURTHER MEETING BE HELD AND NOTIFICATION GIVEN.COLONIAL TERRACE <br />RESIDENTS SO THAT THEY COULD HAVE SOME INPUT. HE CONTINUED THAT STAFF <br />FEELS THE PRESENT PROPOSAL HAS MET ALL COUNTY REQUIREMENTS AND IS IN <br />ORDER WITH ALLOWANCE FOR TWO VEHICULAR ENTRANCES AND THERE WERE DIS- <br />CUSSIONS ABOUT ADDITIONAL BUFFERING BETWEEN THE LOTS THAT BACK UP TO <br />COLONIAL TERRACE SUBDIVISION. MR. REVER COMMENTED THAT THIS IS ZONED <br />FOR MULTI FAMILY, AND IN EACH CASE WHERE DEVELOPMENT TAKES.PLACE, IT <br />WOULD REQUIRE SITE PLAN APPROVAL, AT WHICH TIME THE ASPECTS RE <br />PARKING, ETC., WOULD BE DEALT WITH. HE REPORTED THAT THE PLAT SHOWS, <br />AN EXISTING 15' RIGHT-OF-WAY, AND IT WAS STAFF'S RECOMMENDATION THAT <br />THERE BE NO ATTEMPT TO DEVELOP A ROAD AT THAT LOCATION SO THAT THIS <br />WOULD PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SPACE FOR BUFFERING. <br />CHAIRMAN LYONS NOTED THAT DEVELOPER FRANK ZORC HAS CONTACTED <br />THE RESIDENTS OF COLONIAL TERRACE AS PER THE FOLLOWING LETTER: <br />DEC 311980 <br />25 <br />
