Adult Bookstore An establishment that sells or rents, or offers <br />to sell or rent, for any form of consideration, adult materials and <br />that (a) more than twenty (20) percent of the stock on view to the <br />public, excluding minors, consists of adult materials or, (b) more <br />than twenty (20) percent of its gross revenue is derived from the <br />sale or rental of adult materials. "Adult materials" shall mean <br />any one or more of the following: <br />1. Books, magazines, periodicals, or other printed matter, <br />or photographs, films, motion pictures, video cassettes <br />or video reproductions that have as their primary or <br />dominant theme the depicting or describing of "specified <br />sexual activities" or "specified anatomical areas" as <br />defined; or <br />2. Instruments, devices, or paraphernalia which are designed <br />for use in connection with "specified sexual activities" <br />as defined. <br />Adult Care Facility - An establishment, whether operated for profit <br />or not, which undertakes through its ownership or management to <br />provide basic services to three or more adults, not related to the <br />owner/operator by blood or marriage, for a period of less than <br />twenty-four (24) hours a day on a regular basis. <br />Adult Dancing Establishment - An establishment that permits, <br />suffers or allows dancers, employees or other persons to display <br />or expose "specified anatomical areas" to public view, regardless <br />of whether the employees or other persons actually engage in <br />dancing. <br />Adult Entertainment Business - Any of one or more of the following <br />described businesses: Adult arcade, Adult bookstore, Adult dancing <br />establishment, Adult motion picture booth, Adult mini -motion <br />picture theater or drive-in, Adult motel/hotel, Adult personal <br />service business and Adult theater. <br />Adult Mini -Motion Picture Theater - An enclosed building with a <br />capacity of less than fifty (50) persons including, but not limited <br />to, an adult arcade having as a principal activity the presentation <br />of material having as the primary or dominant theme the depiction <br />of, description of, or portrayals of "specified anatomical areas" <br />or "specified sexual activities". Such use is generally not open <br />to the public in general but only to one or more classes of the <br />public, excluding any minor by reason of age. <br />Adult Motel/Hotel - Any hotel or motel, boarding house, rooming <br />house or other lodging which includes the word "adult" in any name <br />it uses or otherwise advertises the presenting of closed circuit <br />television transmissions, films, video, motion pictures or other <br />visual material having as its primary or dominant theme the <br />depicting or describing of "specified sexual activities" or <br />"specified anatomical areas", as defined, for observation by <br />patrons of such establishment. <br />Adult Motion Picture Booth - An enclosed area designed or used for <br />the viewing by one or more persons of motion pictures, films, video <br />8 <br />
