(2) Noise control. <br />(a) The following are noise producing activities that are <br />prohibited: <br />- use of radios, television sets, musical <br />instruments, and similar devices used between 10:00 <br />p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in a manner that creates a <br />disturbance <br />- outside construction or repair work on buildings or <br />structures between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. <br />- use of internal combustion engines that have no <br />mufflers or similar devices <br />- offensive or excessive animal noises (no <br />prohibitions or restrictions in agricultural zoning <br />districts) <br />- rebuilding, repairing, or testing any motor vehicle <br />between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in a manner that <br />disturbs the peace <br />- use of skateboard ramps or similar devices used <br />between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in a manner that <br />disturbs the peace <br />- use of air -blow cleaners shall used between 8:00 <br />p.m. and 6:00 a.m. in a manner that disturbs the <br />peace <br />- landscape maintenance performed between 8:00 p.m. <br />and 6:00 a.m. in a manner that disturbs the peace. <br />Specific regulations and procedures are contained in Chapter <br />974, Noise and Vibration Control. <br />Section 912.19 Non -conformities and Related Restrictions <br />A nonconformity is "a lot, structure, use of land, or any <br />combination thereof, which was lawful prior to the passage of <br />present county land development regulations or any amendment <br />thereto, but which would be prohibited or further restricted under <br />the terms of such regulations or any amendment thereto." <br />(1) Generally, no non -conformity can be enlarged, increased or <br />changed to a different non -conformity unless, as determined <br />by the community development director, the change results in <br />a lessening of the degree of non -conformity. <br />267 <br />
