Transfer Station - A site and equipment designated by the county <br />for the purpose of transferring certain refuse, from collection <br />vehicles to transport vehicles. <br />Transient Merchant - Any person or business entity that engages in <br />the sale of any personal property, unless such sales are excluded <br />from transient merchant status by other code regulations, including <br />but not limited to food products, agricultural products, and <br />merchandise, from temporary pavilions along public or private <br />streets with the following exceptions: <br />(1) Any person selling agricultural products from <br />agriculturally zoned property upon which he or she grew <br />the produce provided the products are not offered for <br />sale in the road right-of-way; and <br />(2) Any person who sells his or her own property which was <br />not acquired for resale, barter or exchange and does not <br />conduct such sales or acts as a participant by furnishing <br />property for sale in such a manner more than three (3) <br />times during any calendar year (i.e. garage sales, <br />rummage sales, white elephant sales, etc.) when property <br />is not offered for sale in the road right-of-way. <br />Transmissivity - The ability of a pervious surface to transmit <br />water. Higher transmissivity means more water is penetrating into <br />the aquifer. <br />Transportation Disadvantaged - Those individuals who because of <br />physical or mental disabilities, income status, or age are unable <br />to transport themselves or to purchase transportation and are <br />therefore dependent upon others to obtain access to health care, <br />employment, education, shopping, social activities, or other life- <br />sustaining activities. <br />Trash (Yard) - All horticultural trimmings and all accumulations <br />of grass, weeds, palm fronds, leaves, flowers, shrubs, vines, tree <br />limbs, and other similar accumulations incidental to yard keeping. <br />Travel Trailer - A vehicular portable structure not exceeding <br />thirty-six (36) feet in length designed for travel, recreational <br />and vacation uses. <br />Traveled Way - The portion of a roadway for the movement of <br />vehicles, exclusive of shoulders and auxiliary lanes. <br />Tree - A woody plant having a well defined stem, a more or less <br />well defined crown, and which is capable of attaining a height of <br />at least ten (10) feet with a truck diameter of not less than two <br />(2) inches, or a cluster of main stems having an aggregate diameter <br />of not less than two (2) inches, at a point four and one-half (4 <br />1/2) feet above ground. <br />Tree, Protected - Any tree having a dbh of four (4) inches or <br />more, all specimen and historic trees, and all significant <br />groupings of trees of West Indian or tropical origin of any size, <br />80 <br />
