Zero lot line - The location of a building on a lot in such a <br />manner that one or more of the building's sides rests directly on <br />a lot line. <br />Zone - A portion of the territory of the county, exclusive of <br />streets, alleys, and other public ways, within which certain uses <br />of land, premises, and buildings are not permitted and within which <br />certain yards and open spaces are required and certain height <br />limits are established for buildings. <br />Zone of Aeration - The area where both air and moisture are found <br />in the spaces between soil and rock particles. <br />Zone of Saturation - The area where the every pore space between <br />rock and soil particles is saturated with water. <br />Zoning District - Any section or area of Indian River County for <br />which the zoning regulations governing the use, placement of <br />structures, yard and setback requirements, and size and dimension <br />criteria are uniform. <br />87 <br />
