Mechanisms Ordinance" of Indian River <br />County, Florida. <br />Section 902.02 Purpose and Intent <br />It is the purpose of this chapter to identify the functions of the <br />boards, commissions and administrative officials as related to <br />planning and development activities. <br />Section 902.03 Definitions. <br />See Chapter 901 <br />Section 902.04 <br />Role of Board of County Commissioners in <br />Planning and Development <br />The Board of County Commissioners shall adopt and amend the <br />Comprehensive Plan pursuant to Chapter 163, Florida Statutes. <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County shall <br />have the power to consider, amend, adopt, repeal or reject <br />land development regulations. <br />The Board of County Commissioners shall consider, amend, <br />adopt, repeal or reject proposed amendments to the County's <br />official zoning atlas. <br />88 <br />
