administration. and maintenance of county -owned, historically <br />designated sites and structures. <br />(4) The Historic Resource Advisory Committee shall advise the <br />Board of County Commissioners on potential historic resource <br />acquisitions, and/or protection of privately -owned historical <br />resources. <br />(5) The Historic Resources Advisory Committee shall review and <br />make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners <br />concerning all proposed amendments to land development <br />regulations, Comprehensive Plan policies or building codes as <br />they apply to historic resources. <br />(6) The Historic Resources Advisory Committee shall investigate, <br />review and recommend to the Board of County Commissioners <br />financial and technical assistance programs which serve to <br />further the historic preservation objectives of Indian River <br />County. <br />(7) The Historic Resources Advisory Committee shall promote the <br />public appreciation and awareness of historic resources and <br />their benefits to the county. <br />(8) The Historic Resources Advisory Committee shall conduct <br />investigations and make recommendations to the Board of County <br />Commissioners, as requested, pertaining to disputes or <br />undetermined delineations arising from the implementation of <br />Chapter 933, Historic and Archeological Resource Protection, <br />and/or any decision which may potentially affect the historic <br />resources of the county. <br />(9) The Historic Resources Advisory Committee shall review and <br />evaluate all site plans, PRD's and subdivisions. which are <br />located in areas suspected or known to contain any historic <br />resource. The request for review by the Historic Resource <br />Advisory Committee may originate from the Community <br />Development Director or his designee, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission or the Board of County Commissioners. <br />(10) The Historic Resources Advisory Committee shall perform any <br />other function or duty assigned to the Committee by the Board <br />of County Commissioners as related to historic <br />resources/concerns. <br />Section 902.07 Appeals from Decisions of the Community <br />Development Director or his Designee <br />(1) Purpose and Intent <br />This section is established to provide a mechanism for the <br />hearing and resolution of appeals of decisions or actions by <br />the Community Development Director or his designee and for <br />92 <br />
