THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS THEREUPON RECESSED AT <br />2:12 O'CLOCK P.M. SO THAT THE DISTRICT BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS <br />OF THE NORTH INDIAN RIVER COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT MIGHT CONVENE. <br />MINUTES OF THAT MEETING WILL BE PREPARED SEPARATELY. <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS RECONVENED AT 2:22 O:CLOCK <br />P.M. WITH THE SAME MEMBERS PRESENT AND IMMEDIATELY RECESSED IN ORDER <br />THAT THE DISTRICT BOARD'OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTH INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT MIGHT CONVENE. MINUTES OF THAT MEETING <br />WILL BE PREPARED SEPARATELY. <br />THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS THEREUPON RECONVENED WITH <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT EXCEPT COMMISSIONER WODTKE, WHO HAD LEFT THE <br />MEETING TEMPORARILY AT 2:25 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />LETTER OF APPRECIATION TO OUT -GOING MEMBERS OF NORTH COUNTY FIRE <br />DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE <br />- CHAIRMAN LYONS STATED THAT HE WOULD LIKE TO WRITE A LETTER <br />OF THANKS TO THE OUT -GOING MEMBERS OF THE NORTH COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT <br />ADVISORY COMMITTEE, AND COMMISSIONER FLETCHER STATED THAT HE WOULD <br />APPRECIATE THIS GREATLY. <br />CHANGE ORDER #8 <br />CONSTRUCTION PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE HERCULES KONTOULAS <br />EXPLAINED THAT CHANGE ORDER #8 DEALS WITH THE NEED FOR AN ELECTRIC <br />RECEPTACLE FOR THE EXISTING AIR CONDITIONING UNIT IN THE EAST WALL <br />OF THE SECOND FLOOR LOBBY, THE EXISTING OUTLET FOR THAT UNIT WAS <br />DEMOLISHED AND NOT REPLACED BY THE ARCHITECT. TO RUN FROM THE <br />RECEPTACLE TO THE ELECTRIC PANEL WILL REQUIRE ABOUT 50' OF CONDUIT. <br />HE FURTHER NOTED THAT THE $248.06 FIGURE ON THE CHANGE ORDER WAS IN- <br />CORRECT AND THE FIGURES SHOULD BE REVERSED TO READ $284.06. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER <br />FLETCHER, COMMISSIONER WODTKE BEING ABSENT FROM THE MEETING, THE BOARD <br />APPROVED CHANGE ORDER #8 FOR THE COURTHOUSE IN THE AMOUNT OF $284.06, <br />INCLUDING THE NORMAL STIPULATION THAT BY APPROVING THE CHANGE ORDER, <br />THE COUNTY DOES NOT WAIVE ANY RIGHTS IT HAS TO CLAIM DAMAGES AGAINST <br />THE CONSTRUCTOR OR THE ARCHITECT BECAUSE OF OMISSIONS OR OTHER REA- <br />SONS THAT MAY ARISE. <br />35 ma 7QJ <br />J AN 28 1981 <br />
