Subject property is located on the <br />south side of Fellsmere Road, one-half mile northeast of the inter- <br />section of State Roads 512 and 510. <br />4 <br />EXISTING SITUATION: Mining activities have been discontinued and the <br />mining permit has been terminated. The property has a lake near the <br />center, with moderately dense pine trees on the periphery. Agri- <br />-culturally zoned acreage adjacent to the north boundary is used pri- <br />marily fo-r grazing. The eastern and southern adjacent areas are part <br />of the Sebastian Highlands and are occupied by scattered residences. <br />The area on the western side of Fellsmere Road is vacant and contains <br />the preliminarily -approved San Sebastian Springs Subdivision. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The proposed single family (R-lE Country Estate) zoning <br />is in compliance with both the existing Land Use Plan and the pro- <br />posed Comprehensive Plan. <br />, <br />David M. ever, <br />Planning and Zoning Director <br />DR:mr <br />CHAIRMAN LYONS ASKED IF THERE WAS ANYONE PRESENT WHO WISHED <br />TO BE HEARD.
