location of existing utilities, removal of fittings, restraint of existing pipe and fittings, <br />connection to the existing utility, disinfection and flushing of the utility, testing <br />(pressure, bac-t, soil compaction, as applicable), installation of temporary jumper <br />and all other necessary work required to make a connection. <br />When a separate bid item (or items) "Connect to Existing" is listed in the bid form, <br />then the above described work shall be computed as a lump sum cost_ for the <br />installation / connection of the new or replacement utility main to the existing <br />utility main, at each location depicted in the plans and listed in the bid form. <br />When a separate bid item "Connect to Existing" is not listed in the bid form, then <br />the above described work shall be included in the unit price bid for that portion of <br />the utility main construction within the project that is benefitting from the <br />connection. (The adjacent connected main). <br />0. Temporary Jumper Connection: shall include the installation/connection to an v <br />existing utility main, operation for its intended purpose, and upon project clearance, <br />removal of the temporary jumper connection, at the locations specified in the plans. s <br />"Temporary Jumper Connection" shall be included in the unit price bid for the <br />construction of the utility main except when an alternative bid item "Connect to <br />Existing" is provided, in which case, the cost shall then be included within the bid <br />item for "Connect to Existing". In no case will there be a separate payment made <br />for the installation of a "Temporary Jumper Connection". <br />P. Construction Stake -Out: Measurement of construction stake -out shall include be <br />computed as a lump sum item, for all required construction stake -out, including: <br />layout and survey of the proposed construction, setting of stakes as required, <br />necessary computations to establish the exact position of the work, establish <br />reference to baselines, and provide and maintain off -set stakes outside the limits of <br />construction and marked to show offset distance. Record Drawings/As-built Survey: Measurement of record drawings/as-built survey <br />shall ode be computed as a lump sum item, for the preparation of "As -built <br />Drawings", including field survey, drawing preparation in "ACRD", with ties to state <br />plan coordinates, all in accordance with IRCUDS water and wastewater utility <br />standards. "Remove" and or "Abandon & Grout" Existing Utilities: The measurement of the <br />"Remove" and/or "Abandonment and Grout" of utility infrastructure shall be <br />computed using linear foot, as measured along the centerline of the pipe <br />"Removed" or "Abandoned and Grouted" and shall include but not be limited to the <br />complete removal of the utility; or the abandonment and fully grouting of the utility <br />mains together with the removal of portions of the utility infrastructure; and all <br />excavation, backfilling, restoration, M.O.T., and all else necessary. <br />01025-4 <br />
