SECTION 01560 <br />PART 1 -- GENERAL TEMPORARY CONTROLS <br />1.01 REQUIREMENTS INCLUDED <br />A. Furnish, install, and maintain temporary control facilities required for <br />construction; remove on completion of entire project any features not <br />intended to remain on the project site. <br />B. Provide noise control, dust control, water control, debris control, <br />Pollution control and erosion control as specified in the appropriate <br />sections of these documents. <br />1.02 REQUIREMENTS OF REGULATORY AGENCIES <br />A• Comply with federal, state, and local codes and regulations and utility <br />company requirements. <br />B. Comply with Department of Transportation requirements. <br />PART 2 -- PRODUCTS <br />2.01 MATERIALS (GENERAL) <br />A. Materials may be new or used, but must be adequate in capacity and <br />quality for the required usage, MUST NOT create unsafe conditions and <br />MUST NOT violate requirements of applicable codes and standards. <br />2.02 TEMPORARY NOISE CONTROL <br />A. Mechanical equipment shall be fitted with mufflers to reduce noise <br />from internal combustion type engines. <br />B. Bells, sirens, alarms, etc., shall be adjusted to provide adequate <br />warnings to personnel on the project site; however, they shall be <br />regulated to an intensity that is amenable to the neighboring <br />communities. <br />C. Exterior construction work noises shall be kept to a minimum during <br />evening, night, and early morning hours. In addition, weekend and <br />holiday noises shall be limited to acceptable levels. <br />D. In addition to on-site control, noise considerations shall be made to off- <br />site vehicles and equipment (mobilization, demobilization, deliveries, 40 <br />etc.). <br />01560 Temporary Controls.doc <br />01560-1 <br />
