SECTION 02630 <br />EXISTING REUSE MAIN ADJUSTMENTS <br />GENERAL <br />Description of Work <br />This work shall consist of the construction of reuse main piping, fittings, valves, air release <br />valves, to create horizontal and vertical adjustments to the existing reuse main in accordance <br />with the Construction Plans. <br />Methods of Construction <br />The Contractor shall not shut down or cut the existing reuse mains without authorization from <br />Indian River County Utilities Department. <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for the provision of a vacuum truck and for proper disposal <br />of all removed pipe and wastewater. <br />The Contractor shall construct and pressure test the reuse main adjustment assembly in <br />accordance with Indian River County Utilities Department (IRCUD) pressure testing standards. <br />The adjustment assembly shall include all pipe, fittings, air relief valves, and gate valves. <br />The Contractor shall demonstrate to the Indian River County Utilities Department Inspector that <br />all required materials and vacuum truck are present prior to installation. In the event <br />adjustments cannot be completed while pumps are in an "off' mode, the Contractor must <br />provide temporary bypass pipi,.g to allow for uninterrupted service continuation. <br />The Contractor's surveyor shall provide, on State Plane Coordinates, an as -built survey <br />illustrating the horizontal and vertical location of all fittings in the adjustment assembly. Vertical <br />locations shall be provided on NGVD 1929 datum. Clearance/top of pipe elevation shall be as <br />specified on the plans. Engineer reserves the right to have Contractor excavate and check top <br />of pipe and elevations to see if they conform to the aforementioned requirements, at no cost to <br />the owner. <br />*END OF SECTION* <br />02.630-1 <br />D \DIVISION 2102630 wastewater Force Main Adjustments.doc <br />
