Helseth, Chairman; J.D.Yongue; <br />J.ViJaBruce; J.J.P.Hami_lton and John H. .Atkin. Also present was Miles Warren,c;lerk. <br />. The day being the General Election day, it was ordered the Board stand adjourned <br />until tomorrow mo rning at 10 o'clock. <br />AT T L <br />Clerk. <br />Chairman. <br />- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -- <br />WEDNESDAY, NOVZMR 4th 1930. <br />The Board of County commissioners in and for Indian River County, Florida, met <br />at the Court House in Vero Beach, at 10 o'clock A .M . wedne slay, November 4th 1930, <br />pursuant to adjournment, with the following members of the Board p-resent:Albert O. <br />Helseth, Chainnan; J. D. Yongue; J. W. IaBruce; J.J.P.Hamilton and John H. Atkin. <br />Also present were <br />Miles <br />warren, <br />Clerk and <br />Clark <br />S. Rice, <br />Sheriff. <br />The minutes <br />of the <br />previous <br />meetings <br />were <br />read and <br />approved. <br />It was ordered that the Indian River Farms Drainage District be pemmitted to <br />erect a store room on the County's tool house grounds, the County Engineer to locate <br />the site and the District agrees to remove the building when the County requests that <br />this be done. <br />County Agent, W.E.Evans, and Home Demonstration Agent, Miss Ethyl Holloway, <br />filed their monthly reports of activities. <br />yrs Robert M. Martin appeared requesting aid from the County while her husband <br />is serving a jail sentence for larceny. same was taken under consideration. <br />The County Tax Collector filed his monthly report of license collected showing <br />X1,536.65 collected for the state and 0793.33 collected for the County. <br />it was ordered the Insurance Board be authorized to write insurance on the jail <br />in the sum of V10, Q00, 00 <br />It was ordered that George Nelson be given the authority to capture one Manatee <br />from the waters of the Indian River to be used for .scientific purposes. <br />It was ordered that no action be taken on the Mhos F. Palmer letter regarding <br />the drainage of his lands. <br />It was ordered that bridge be constructed on Road B-5. <br />It was ordered that the Roseland road be repaired just as soon as the County <br />Engineer is in that vicinity with the road machine. <br />The several bills and accounts against the Uounty, having been audited, were <br />examined and found correct were approved, and warrants ordered issued in settlement <br />of same.
