MAGUIRE, AGENT FOR CUMMINS ENTERPRISES. ATTORNEY BLOCK REVIEWED <br />THE ACTION TAKEN AT THE PREVIOUS PUBLIC HEARING ON MAY 20TH, WHEN <br />THE C -IA PORTION OF THE CUMMINS ENTERPRISE PROPERTY, EXCEPT FOR A STRIP <br />ALONG U.S.I, WAS REZONED TO R -2B AND THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />SUBSEQUENTLY'INITIATED THE ACTION TO REZONE THE R-3 PORTION OF THIS <br />SAME PROPERTY TO R -2B WITH THE CONCURRENCE OF THE OWNER. MR. BLOCK <br />NOTED THAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT 7.59 UNITS PER ACRE TOTALLY AND <br />THEY ARE, IN ADDITION, LIMITED BY THE ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE AREA <br />ALONG THE RIVER. HE DISPLAYED A SCHEMATIC OF THE PROPOSED PROJECT <br />ILLUSTRATING THE ENVIRONMENTALLY SENSITIVE AREAS WHERE ONLY A WALK- <br />OVER WILL BE ALLOWED BY THE D.E.R. AND THE CORPS OF ENGINEERS. <br />MR. BLOCK BELIEVED HAVING THIS PROPERTY ALL UNDER ONE ZONING EXCEPT <br />-I <br />FOR THE SMALL COMMERCIAL STRIP WILL ACCOMPLISH WHAT THE COMMISSION WANTS. <br />THE CHAIRMAN ASKED IF ANYONE PRESENT WISHED TO BE HEARD. <br />EDWARD REID OF 3 ISLAND HARBOR ROAD, INFORMED THE BOARD <br />THAT HE HAD PERMISSION TO SPEAK FOR THREE OTHER PROPERTY OWNERS ON <br />ISLAND HARBOR ROAD, AND THEY ALL ARE IN FAVOR OF THE PROPOSED REZONING. <br />NO ONE FURTHER WISHED TO BE HEARD, AND ON MOTION BY COMMIS- <br />SIONER FLETCHER, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK, THE BOARD UNANI- <br />MOUSLY CLOSED THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br />ON MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SCURLOCK, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER. <br />BIRD, THE BOARD UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED ORDINANCE 8I-22 REZONING THE <br />CUMMINS PROPERTY AS ADVERTISED FROM R-3 TO R -2B. <br />
