HE REPORTED THAT THE STATE <br />ASSOCIATION OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SUPPORTS A LOCAL OPTION OF 1/2� <br />SALES TAX AND BELIEVES THAT THE LEGISLATIVE CLIMATE FOR PASSAGE OF <br />SUCH A LOCAL OPTION SALES TAX IS MOST FAVORABLE AT THIS TIME. THEY <br />ARE ASKING FOR OUR BACKING. HE INFORMED THE BOARD THAT JOHN THOMAS, <br />EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, <br />IS WILLING TO COME TO VERO BEACH AND MAKE A PRESENTATION IN THIS REGARD. <br />DISCUSSION FOLLOWED, AND IT WAS AGREED lk TO REQUEST MR.
