G. Recovery Actions <br />The Recovery Phase will begin during the response phase and may <br />encompass these general areas: <br />Damage assessment of the residential, government and business sectors for <br />the purpose of administration of programs to restore them to their pre - <br />disaster level of functioning; and <br />Administration of programs to mitigate the consequences of future disasters. <br />1. Initial Actions <br />a. Monitor the disaster event and analyze available information <br />regarding disaster conditions <br />b. Identify locations for the DFO and DRCs <br />C. Assemble and brief recovery staff; <br />d. Place recovery support personnel on stand-by status, as <br />necessary. Brief personnel on disaster conditions and <br />potential for deployment; and <br />e. Establish liaison with recovery staff in municipal EOCs. <br />2. Continuing Actions <br />a. Maintain coordination with the state recovery staff <br />b. Establish and support the DFO as necessary; <br />C. Maintain liaison with the SEOC and municipal EOCs to monitor <br />disaster conditions; and <br />d. Coordinate federal and state disaster assistance programs and <br />make recommendations to the SCO regarding continued <br />staffing. <br />Indian River County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan Basic Page 102 <br />
