Executive Order <br />Mutual Aid Agreements <br />Indian River County has mutual aid agreements with St. Lucie, Okeechobee, <br />Osceola, and Brevard Counties, and is a participant in the Statewide Mutual <br />Aid Agreement for Catastrophic Response and Recovery to provide <br />expanded resource capability. These agreements will be developed, <br />coordinated and amended by the Emergency Management Director. During <br />any county administered evacuation that does not require activation of the <br />SEOC, state assistance may be provided under the various state agencies' <br />normal statutory authority through coordination by FDEM. These <br />agreements include: conditions, rules and standards governing any mutual <br />aid; provisions for immunity from liability, waiver of claims and <br />indemnification from third party claims; notification of persons authorized to <br />request or invoke mutual aid; compensation consideration; and procedures <br />for the direction and control of personnel and units rendering aid. <br />General & Technical References <br />Guide for Development of State Local Emergency Operations <br />Plan (CPG1-8), Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br />2.
