Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary <br />Conditions and Division 01 Specification Sections, apply to this Section. <br />1.2 SUMMARY <br />A. This Section specifies load-bearing, tilt -up concrete, including the following: <br />1. Monolithic panels. <br />B. Related Sections include the following: <br />1. Division 03 Section "Cast -in -Place Concrete" for slab -on -grade closure strip and general <br />concrete construction. <br />2. Division 03 Section "Architectural Concrete" for specially finished formed concrete. <br />3. Division 03 Section "High Performance Concrete Moisture Vapor Reducing Admixture <br />(MVRA)" for all new concrete tilt -up walls. <br />4. Division 05 Section "Metal Fabrications" for embedded metal items and loose hardware. <br />5. Division 07 Section "Sheet Metal Flashing and Trim" for flashing receivers and reglets. <br />6. Division 07 Section "Joint Sealants" for elastomeric joint sealants and sealant backings <br />between tilt -up panels. <br />7. Division 31 Section "Earth Moving" for engineered fill and drainage fill under slab -on - <br />grade closure strip. <br />1.3 DEFINITIONS <br />A. Face -down Surface: Concealed surface of as -cast, tilt -up panel formed against the casting <br />slab. <br />B. Face -up Surface: Exposed upper surface of as -cast, tilt -up panel. <br />1.4 SUBMITTALS <br />A. Product Data: For each type of product indicated. <br />B. Design Mixtures: For each concrete mixture. Submit alternate design mixtures when <br />characteristics of materials, Project conditions, weather, test results, or other circumstances <br />warrant adjustments. <br />C. Shop Drawings: Detail fabrication and installation of tilt -up concrete units. Indicate panel <br />locations, plans, elevations, dimensions, shapes, cross sections, and details of steel <br />embedments.
