<br />(g) Short-radius ells, often referred to as "telephone"ells, shall
<br />not be used in a run of conduit over five feat long, measured from. outlet-to-
<br />outlet, or from outlet-to-fitting. The run of pips shall be straight and shall
<br />not include any additional ells.

<br />(h) A sufficient number of receptacles shall be installed in every
<br />dining-room, breakfast-room, living-room, parlor, library, den, sunroom, recre-
<br />ation room and bedroom so that any point on the wall will not be more than six
<br />feet distance from a convenient receptacle. Any free-wall space in excess of
<br />four feet shall have a receptacle installed within that area, even though it
<br />may be nearer than 12 feet to another receptacle required in that section of
<br />the roc, and not more than 2 receptacles per circuit in kitchen, dining-room
<br />and service area and shall be 3 wire ground receptacles.
<br />(i) When the above paragraph has been coimplied with in residential
<br />occupancies, additional receptacles may be installed in any one room without an
<br />increase in the number of branch circuits, provided the possible demand has not-
<br />been increased;

<br />(j) For thesmallappliance load in kitchens, laundry areas, pantries,
<br />gas and breakfast-rooms of dwelling occupancies, one or more branch
<br />circuits shall be provided for all receptacle outlets (other than outlet for
<br />clock) in these rooms, and such circuits shall have no other outlets thereon.
<br />The conductors for such circuits shall be not smaller than 20 amp; capacity.
<br />The spacing and number of receptacles per-circuit shall comply 1.1"the table
<br />in Section 26(g). ith
<br />(k) Portable cords attached to music boxes, marble machines, floor
<br />or table lamps and other similar equip,�ent, shall not exceed six feet in length
<br />%.then measured from the equipment to-the outlet supplying its current. Cords
<br />shall not be nailed down, tacked, or held with strings or other supports, but
<br />shall be left free and clear,

<br />(1) All stairways and parts of buildings under demolition, erection
<br />or repair shall be adequately lighted while persons are engaged at work.
<br />(m) All electrical outlets used for portable electrical tools shall
<br />be provided with three %'tire polarized plugs, and all portable electric tool
<br />cables shall be of the three-conductor type, and shall be grounded in accord-
<br />ance with the National Electrical Code,
<br />(n) All electrical snitches, panels, wiring and other temporary
<br />electrical equipment shall be maintained in a safe and serviceable condition
<br />by qualified electricians. Qualified electricians shall be required to patrol
<br />installations when considered necessary by the Electrical Inspector, for safety
<br />to life while in use by other trades. All disconnect s':titches controlling
<br />temporary light and power, except emergency lighting such as barricades and
<br />vialkways shall, when considered necessary by the Electrical Inspector for safety
<br />to life and property, be locked in the "off" position .-there there is no quali-
<br />fied electrician on the job,
<br />(o) Separately metered conductors shall not be installed in the same
<br />raceway, except in load gutter in meter room.
<br />(o) In the wiring of cold-storage plants and rooms or buildings of
<br />similar character, all wires used for light, heat or potter shall be installed in
<br />rigid galvanized or sherardized metal threaded conduit, and galvanized metal
<br />outlet bores, cut-out and distribution cabinets and fittings installed. Conduits
<br />shall be installed in such mannerthat they will drain to the outlets and cabi-
<br />n�ts conductors installed in conduit must co191y with the 'National Electrical
<br />G.vle Standard for dam.p or wet locations. All conduits entering or leaving re-
