Building Ordinance continued <br />-13- <br />Section 30. Appeals - Decisions of Board of Adjustments <br />and Appeals. Sections 112 and 113 of the Southern <br />Standard Building Code, adopted by reference in this ordinance as part <br />bf the Building Code, are hereby adopted, as modified in the Building <br />Code, and made a part , f this Electrical Code. <br />Section 31. Board of Adjustments and Appeals. The Board of <br />Adjustments and Appeals appointed under the provisions of the Building Code <br />is hereby made the Board of Adjustments and Appeals of the Electrical Code. <br />15. Section 902. 3, Paragraph 1 of the Southern Standard Building <br />Code is hereby amended for use in Indian River County as follows: <br />Buildings exceeding one story and 50 feet in height is changed to buildings <br />exceeding three stories or more. The purpose of this change is to require <br />installation of fire fighting equipment on each floor within reach of the <br />most remote area of the building in accordance with N. F. P. A. (14-1968 <br />Edition). <br />16. Elevators. All elevators installed in any structure in Indian <br />River County shall be a minimum 300011 elevator, having a carriage size <br />of five feet six inches by seven feet, and a minimum door size of three <br />feet six inches wide. <br />17. Violations and Penalties. Section 114 is amended to read <br />as follows: <br />"Any person that shall fail to comply with or violate any of the <br />provisions of this Code shall be guilty of a misdemeanor in the second <br />degree and upon conviction thereof shall be liable by fine or imprisonment <br />as provided by State Law. " <br />18. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective on <br />May 27, 1974. <br />
