(e) Any of the patented or expension type bolts <br />with a minimum of five-eighths (5/8) inch diameter and in- <br />serted in solid rock formation to a minimum depth of twelve <br />(12) inches may be used for ground anchors. <br />(f) All anchors shall be capable of withstanding <br />a vertical stress component of two thousand (2,000) pound <br />minimum. <br />Sec. 5: <br />(a) Each mobile home or travel trailer shall be <br />provided with a minimum of three (3) sets of tie -downs as <br />described herein. <br />(b) Ties shall be made of no less than one-half <br />(1/2) inch galvanized steel turnbuckles connected to ground <br />anchors, with no less than three-eighths (3/8) inch galvanized <br />wire rope, or equal. Ties will be placed as near adjacent to <br />the front and rear piers as possible with no less than one (1) <br />tie -down for each twelve (12) feet of trailer length, with a <br />minimum of three (3) regardless of length. <br />(c) No less than three (3) of the required tie - <br />downs shall pass over the trailer or mobile home. If only <br />three (3) are used, two (2) of these will be at the front <br />and rear of the unit. Tie -downs passing over the coach shall <br />be reinforced at points of contact with the unit so the cable <br />cannot cause cutting damage thereto. Other required tie -downs <br />may be fastened to the frame of the unit. <br />Sec. 6: <br />(a) It shall be the responsibility of the owners <br />of the property or operator of a trailer park on which a <br />unit is parked to provide the required ground anchors to be <br />installed. <br />(b) It shall be the responsibility of the owner of <br />the unit to provide required tie -downs and install the same. <br />(c) Travel trailers that are not to be in the <br />county more than fifteen (15) days shall be excluded from <br />this section. <br />(d) Other types of piers and methods of blocking, <br />ground anchors or tie -down cable or cables or couplings <br />may be approved by the county if deemed the equivalent of <br />the foregoing specifications and specific written approval <br />is given by the county. <br />(e) Only closed eye dropped forged turnbuckles <br />and metal components of hot dipped galvanized finish shall <br />be permitted. <br />Sec. 7: <br />(a) The enforcement of these provisions shall <br />rest with the county building department. <br />(b) Written notice shall be given to anyone in <br />violation of these provisions, specifying same. A period <br />of ten (10) days shall be granted for correction and the <br />person or persons correcting the violation shall sign a <br />citation verifying correction of same. <br />
