HE INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE <br />NEIGHBORS BORDERING THIS PROPERTY ARE IN FAVOR OF THE PROPOSED REZONING. <br />HE BELIEVED THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT IS AN EXCELLENT ONE, CONSISTENT <br />WITH THE OVERALL LAND USE PLAN, AND THAT IT IS AN ESPECIALLY GOOD AREA <br />BECAUSE OF THE NATURAL BUFFERS. <br />ROBERT REIDER WISHED TO BE ENLIGHTENED AS TO A SITUATION <br />WHERE COMMERCIAL SUPERSEDES RESIDENTIAL ZONING WITH SPECIFIC REFERENCE <br />TO THE HOSPITAL AND THE BAPTIST RETIREMENT CENTER, ETC. <br />MR. CHALLACOMBE EXPLAINED THAT ESSENTIALLY IN ANY LAND USE <br />PLAN WITHIN A RESIDENTIAL AREA, THERE WOULD BE INTERSPERSED COMMERCIAL. <br />THIS IS MERELY AN OVERLAY AND WOULD NOT SUPERSEDE.
